With the 10GB plan, after you use your allotted amount of data, your speeds will be slowed down dramatically. Honestly, i don’t totally recommend this plan to anyone because the next plan, simply unlimited is unlimited and only $10 more.

Simply Prepaid Unlimited allows you unlimited data… though after 50GB your speeds may be slowed during times of congestion. You can use a hotspot but speeds will be limited to 3G which would allow you to stream music or stream at SD quality.

I recommend Simply Unlimited for anyone looking for a well priced unlimited plan! It doesn’t have many bells and whistles, but it does the basics really well.

You have two options with Connect both come with unlimited talk and text, and you can choose between 2GB and 5GB data options at $15 and $25 per month. Now you can find slightly cheaper deals with smaller carriers, however you don’t get the perks that come along with a name brand carrier, MAINLY prioritized data. Meaning you won’t have data slowed as much compared to other carriers when the network is busy. Another perk from these plans is that your data increases every year by ½ a gig for five years and you’ll keep the same price.

MetroPCS Magenta plans

The next plan is Magenta for $70/month. With this plan taxes and fees are included which means there won’t be any hidden or surprise fees. Plus you get 3GB of high-speed hotspot. After 50GB, your data speeds may slow down when the network is busy. Magenta also gives great travel perks like free data in other countries and free inflight wifi and texting on eligible flights.

This plan is for anybody who needs unlimited data and just a little bit of a hotspot. If you need more hotspot, you can go with Simply Unlimited Plus which gives you 10GB OR you can go with Magenta Plus, which is the final plan I’m covering.

Magenta Plus is the most expensive plan MetroPCS offers at $85/month. The best selling points from this plan are that taxes and fees are included, AND you get a 20GB high-speed hotspot allotment. Magenta Plus is also great for travelers, you get free international texting, free international data at 2G speeds, unlimited talk and text in mexico and canada plus inflight texting and wifi on eligible flights.

If you’re someone who finds themself needing a hotspot multiple times a month, this is the MetroPcs plan for you. Plus with the additional travel benefits you’ll almost never have to worry about service.
